Alright. We officially have 10 weeks left before the baby arrives. Since my book says that 37th week is actually when we should say, "anytime now ...", I'm giving Tam and myself 7 weeks to prepare.

Today, we headed out to Babies R Us to complete the baby registry. I loved registering for wedding gifts, so I was sure I'd enjoy this one as well.

I already started it at amazon.com for the things I felt I had to research such as the safest car seats, the best review of bottle sterilizers, swings and so forth.

We were lost at the baby store. Armed with a scanning gun, we headed to the first aisle --

the baby bottles. wide necks ... no bubble feeding ... the different bottle nipple firmness ... There were so many different types!!! Why don't they ever make it easy?

How are we supposed to know what to look for? I saw a starter kit so that was it! I quickly scanned it. (When I got home I found that most reviews say the baby can hardly get anything out of it because the hole is not big enough.)

I decided to check out the car seat I picked so Tam could check it out for safety. It turns out he was just as useless as I was. His answer to everything was -- "I don't know, hon ...". I asked him to check for possible safety holes but he basically picks based on price. Oy! Are we really ready for parenthood? The closer the date, the more scared I get.

I gave up on the registry for tonight. I did sign up to a free registry class on January 5. They said someone will take me around the store and help me pick the items I will need. Baby registry is not as fun as I thought.

One thing I can say though -- when registering for your baby, make sure you already have the colors selected and it'll make it even easier if you have a theme. That way, you only go through the store once.

On baby news, I'm having a lot of Braxton-Hicks contractions. I love feeling the baby kick inside me. If it kicks all day, I would enjoy that so much.
