The First Two Weeks

On March 16th my wonderful wife gave birth to Tia, our very first child. Tia came into the world via Cesarean section after over 20 hours of unsuccessful labor due to her body not being positioned properly. The C-section delivery process went without a hitch, and within minutes we got to see Tia kick and cry her way into the world.

Tia has changed our lives in such a profoundly positive way.

Minutes after entering the world. I was surprised by how alert she was, happily looking around in the operating room. I guess babies come out all swollen and their extremities grayish. I didn't know this till afterwards so was caught a little off guard by her relatively huge lips! :)

A few minutes after being delivered, Tia is moved to the recovery room ahead of mom. Here we are waiting for mom to be sewn back up so she can join us.

At home and relaxed.

Tia gets a fresh start on the day with some ab workouts.

A baby's life.  Sleep at every chance.

Tia relaxes in her Boppy. She's extremely strong even at just over a week old. She carries the weight of her head without any trouble, and has already rolled over on her own several times.

After her first bath, Tia enjoys being wrapped in a bath towel from Grandma.

Kicking back.

"Stop taking pictures of me daddy!"

She enjoys sleeping in her Snoopy crib.

My precious daughter.
