Month 11
January 17 - February 16

Eversince she started walking and communicating, she's become more and more low maintenance.  We don't have to worry about carrying her wherever we go since she just follows us around now.  When I have to do the laundry, she loves pushing the laundry basket from the bedroom to the laundry room.  She also helps me take out clothes from the dryer (then proceeds to taking the clean clothes from the hamper to the floor :-))

She does all sorts of funny and sweet things.  Yesterday when I was sitting on the floor sorting out our taxes, she came up to me, lifted my shirt from behind and kissed my back.  Then she put my shirt back down and patted it a few times then walked away to play again.

She so much better at eating.  She's not picky anymore.  It seems as though she's eating all day nowadays.  Needless to say, she's gained a lot of weight this month.

Papa Lito took us out to dinner early this month.  Here's Tia with Auntie Stella and Uncle Bill.

Brushing her teeth with washcloth no longer works so we started using a toothbrush.  This is probably the biggest challenge this month.  Hopefully, by next month, she'll just see it as a routine.

Tia refuses to let me sleep in the afternoons unless she's also sleeping...

But when I wake up, she just runs away and laugh

In the afternoons, we hang out in the backyard when it's warm out.

Tia likes climbing things and it doesn't matter what or who she uses as a step stool.  "Tia-zilla" is definitely an appropriate nickname!

I love waking up in the mornings and getting a kiss from my baby ...

Early this month, we took her to the playground and she loved it!  I can't wait until summer is here and we can take her all the time ... it's just so cold these days.  I wish it would stop raining. :-)

Tia loves getting pushed around in her car.

But most of the time, she prefers to push the car around.

I was terrified but Tam wanted her to climb this.  He was right.  Tia had no problem whatsoever.  She got to the top very fast and was so happy when she got there.

Tia brushing Elmo's teeth.

Tia playing with Grandpa Joe.

She has this fascination with credit cards.  We're fearful specially because she also loves it when we take her to the mall .  :-)

Going through sales magazines also keeps her busy ... fortunately, it's not limited to sales ads (so maybe we don't have to worry about the credit card connection :-))
--- she just likes flipping through books....

We can't keep her away from our keyboards when we're on the computer so Tam gave her this very old computer to play with.  It worked!

Tia puts her phone by her ear when we say "Hello????..."

Tia with Auntie Thao at her first Tet (Vietnamese New Year).  Grandma and Auntie Tu cooked a feast to celebrate.

We picked Tia's first red envelope from Grandma's red envelope tree.

Tia with cousins Kimberly and Carolyn.
(Grandma got Tia an outfit to suit the occasion).

Tia learned how to climb down stairs this month.

Uncle Joey and Aunt Emily got Tia this chicken pillow.  Tia loves carrying it around even though it's bigger than her.  She kisses and hugs it all the time.  She sits on it whenever she's tired.  Here she is in her "tower" eating a cookie and watching Sesame Street.
