Month 12
February 17 - March 16


Time certainly flew by.  We can't believe our little Teresa is ONE! 

One of the coolest things she's done this month is picking up the remote control for mommy.  It keeps her distracted and
busy and at the same time, I don't have to get up :-).  She's also becoming less anxious about strangers.  In fact, she plays
with anyone so long as they don't try to pick her up.

Also, when we have to change her we just ask her if she needs a clean diaper then she nods, gets up and starts walking
to the bedroom.  It's so cool!

This is what Tia does when we ask her to show her teeth.  She is such a character.

This month, she discovered Barney.  I never understood kids' fascination with Barney but here's our little one hypnotized by him ...

Sometimes, she walks around hugging Elmo and mumbling endlessly.  It's a pretty funny sight :-)

Sometimes, she lets Elmo kiss her instead ...

We visited Amelie to celebrate her one year birthday early this month.

"Where am I? ... What are we doing?"

Jeff took this picture ... I like it because Tam had a picture with the same background  (sort of) when he was younger ...

 

We let her eat on this froggie blanket once in awhile.  It's funny because she likes frogs a lot and wouldn't you know it?  I was obsessed with KeroKeroKeroppi (Sanrio frog character) in high school... so i was able to bring out my collection of frog stuff (which I just remembered recently)

She likes walking outside our house and sometimes playing with our neighbors' kids.

For her birthday, Uncle Joe and Auntie Emily got her a writing desk and washable markers ... She loves it!  Can't you tell?

When she's not writing on it ... she just stands there and entertains herself.

She also got a froggie stuffed animal from Grandma Thanh which she hugs and kisses everyday ...

For her actual birthday, Tam and I took her to Chuckee Cheese.  It's pretty cool because they gave her a balloon and a party hat.

She had so much fun there ....

Daddy reintroduced Tia to Barney now that she's seen him on TV.  Here she is touching Barney's cheeks ... something she does when we say  "Gently, Tia ..."

... and then we went back home for her birthday cake ...

She tried to take a big bite off the big piece but was even more excited when she got a more manageable size :-)

There you have it ... the requisite mess eating your 1st birthday cake.
